Thank you for joining us for today’s Righteous Rhymes!
As Christ entered the Temple, he saw
A most sinful and serious flaw
Men sold animals there
And did not seem to care
That they were contravening the Law
Money-changers proficient in guile
Bought and sold currencies all the while
Seemingly unaware
This was God’s House of Prayer
Which these sordid affairs would defile
So in anger, Christ plaited a rope
And beat those who had dared interlope
Upending their tables
Completely unable
To sanction a wrong of that scope
